Description
Our Manual Handling Course, tailored to the unique demands of various workplaces, equips you with the practical skills you need. This dynamic course blends theory with hands-on practice, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning experience. Our expert instructor will guide you through safe handling techniques and the fundamental principles of effective manual handling, empowering you to confidently handle any task.
As per the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), more than 30% of reported workplace accidents are linked to manual handling. This is a significant concern, as 50% of individuals who take time off work due to back pain experience a recurrence within a year, with 5% of these cases leading to prolonged disability. These issues affect both men and women equally, underlining the importance of our Manual Handling Course in your daily work.
Manual handling is defined in the Guide to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 4 of Part 2: Manual Handling of Loads:
“Any transporting or supporting of a load by one or more employees and includes lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying, or moving a load, which, because of its characteristics or of unfavourable ergonomic conditions, involves risk, particularly of a back injury, to employees.”
Within 72 hours of booking, learners will receive a link to complete the online training programme session.
